What's impressive is the speed of response, the intelligence of the response, and the fact that I have dealt with the same competent person for some years and she remembers me and my accounts. Also, you are less bureaucratic and opaque in your procedures.

My only complaint is that if I have to wait whatever time is stipulated(ie:120 days or 40days) to be able to change my accounts, why are you allowed to Immediately reduce interest rates without any notice?.Not fair.

Three reasons for giving Skipton 5 stars are (1) the person/people in charge have created a sensible, practical, reasonable, intelligent safe way for their telephone customer service staff to deal with customers; as opposed to the laborious, stupid, picky, demanding bureaucratic, annoying, high-handed way other banks, like Lloyds Int'l, train their staff to deal with customers. Proof? Try it. (2) Skipton staff are friendly and polite, partly I think, because they can tell customers are happy to talk to them, versus having to 'prove' they (the customers) are not criminals as in the case of Lloyds more draconian, sometimes condescending staff forced to be smart alecs by the process. (3) because Skipton offers investors seeking minimal risk a higher return level.

Skipton's level of customer service is outstanding - they have repeatedly demonstrated this over the course of my dealings with them and it seems it is a fundamental value that they hold. Dealing with them is always a pleasure. I would recommend Skipton's without any qualification.

Skipton's offer a very reasonable interest rate bond on a savings account. If they were to branch out and offer other investment facilities I would definitely use them.
