Following maturity of an existing product, a further product was offered to me at a slightly higher interest rate than currently on offer. The product is identical - 12 month FTD. Would have liked the option to extend the term and, better still, an even better interest rate (though I appreciate the rate offered is very competitive in today's market).

Recently I brought in a legal document concerning Power of Attorney and was told certain things that were not correct (The documented words and understanding between " jointly and severally"). This was concerning as I had already spoken to the legal team to clarify my request.
I was then informed that other documentation would have to be filled out by another person and other request's.I again sought legal aid to make sure what was contained in the Power of Attorney, and was told that information given by Skipton was completely wrong.
On concluding this fiasco with Skipton the second time, nothing of what was explained to me previously was brought up.
The staff that I spoke to did seek clarification by there team leader or manager of what was written in the document. I have also previous experiences with Skipton when different information about accounts and bonds have been shared that are again completely wrong.

Thank you for your feedback.Regardless of whether a Power of Attorney is ‘jointly and severally’, if two people are appointed as Power of Attorney’s on the document then we cannot just appoint one. A reason being that if the one appointed Power of Attorney themselves become incapable of managing the account then the other Power of Attorney would take over. In addition, sight of the original Power of Attorney document is required in order to take a certified copy and in the first instance this was not provided.Kind regardsJim CoupeManaging Director

They informed me when my account was due to mature and gave clear instruction about what to do according to my preference when the account matured. Whenever I have phoned head office I have had my questions answered by the Skipton personnel who answered the phone without going through an automated menu to reach somebody else - rare these days and efficient for the caller.

I informed Skipton about my pending change of address and phone number in advance.
I was shocked to learn that mail concerning my accounts was sent to Saudi Arabia in July, 2019.
I left Saudi Arabia on 30 April, 2019.
