Their politeness,helpfulness and response time to my queries has been beyond criticism. Faultless, in other words! I would certainly recommend Skipton to others although I might fear that if they got too large their service would deteriorate to the impersonal level of other major banks.

We were a little disappointed, having been recent clients, before trying to open a new account, but we got there in the end. We have opened several new accounts with other institutions but this was the most difficult, which we simply did not expect.

I have a legacy 200 day account where Skipton does not publish the interest rate, and I find that the rate is now less than half of more recent 200 day accounts, and less than half of the current instant access account. As a loyal customer, I am apparently locked in to the lower rate for 200 days - this is just an outdated form of penalty for customer loyalty. Very disappointing.

I have been unfairly cheated out of the benefit of recent interest rate rises, by an outdated form of penalty for customer loyalty, and where the current interest rate is hidden from public view.
