Good products. Secure website. Easy to handle fund to fund transactions - where permitted. Any transfer-out of funds can only be done to my (the investor) account that has been registered with Skipton ever since opening the accounts.

We were welcomed on arrival but they were busy and we we kept waiting and not seated. Once we were seated in an interview room with a young lady she was very efficient and helpful. She explained what would happen, that it would be 10 days or so before our account was opened. We received confirmation as she had said. We spoke on the phone several times regarding the transfer of funds and again she was very helpful.

The online verification of documents simplifies and speeds up the unfortunately tiresome money laundering and client identity verification process. I can recommend Skipton International and will continue to incorporate them into my financial plans in the future.

I was disappointed that when I phoned to enquire what interest rate I was receiving on my instant access account, I was told that the account I was currently in was now obsolete and I was only earning 0.6%. The lady on the phone then asked me if I wanted to go into the new account at 2.5% immediately. Surely if accounts are obsolete and new accounts replace them at much higher interest rates then a client’s funds should automatically be transferred or a letter sent asking if you’d like to transfer. I’ve obviously lost quite a lot of interest in the months that my funds were left in the lower account.
