They handled my request to transfer my balances to the new higher interest bearing accounts over the phone efficiently and pleasantly. An improvement would be if Skipton automatically moved existing clients to these accounts rather than waiting for those clients to discover such accounts existed

I live abroad i.e. not in the UK. In 2017 my fixed deposit account was due to mature. I do not have online or telephone banking set up and prefer the mail, Consequently the maturity notice I received arrived too late by mail to reinvest at the new rate for the new period.Skipton should allow a longer time for letters to be received outside the UK. I lost out, but eventually reinvested in a bond which was not what I really wanted and I did suffer some lost interest. Same thing happened in 2018, but I called Skipton to complain and a nice lady said I could still reinvest in the offered new bond with no loss of interest. So I did - hooray.
