Very straightforward process, able to download forms on line to complete ahead of visit, all necessary accompanying documents detailed. Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff. Yes would recommend and use again.

I went to the St Peter Port, Guernsey, office last month to deposit a cheque and I was given excellent personal service by one of the company's advisers who informed me of a newer account with a better interest rate. I was able to switch immediately without any fuss or bother and I received confirmation in the post a couple of days later.

Too early to tell much about the service. Opening the account was timely, and the staff members I spoke to were friendly and helpful.

Walked straight in to the office and was seen very quickly. Accounts were explained. This was done a bereavement and staff were lovely.

They offered us an increased interest rate on our fixed rate bond earlier than it was due and implemented it immediately!

Staff are excellent. Skipton International should inform existing customers when they bring out a new product. Instead they leave existing account holders on a lower interest rate and bring out a product offering the same thing but at a different rate. This was not uncommon ten years ago when building societies would drop the rate without telling investors. Now that rates are increasing they have adapted their policies by instead re-branding an existing product and leaving it to existing customers to find out for themselves that a higher rate is available. They rightly defend themselves by saying the information is available on their website while knowing very few people who place their cash in a building society to preserve their capital are going to be active investors investigating the markets.

Guys whenever I have need to talk to you - you answer promptly and your staff are pleasant knowledgeable and efficient HOWEVER you're 20 years behind in the (continually promised since portman days) online capability as well you know. I'd much rather not have to spend on international calls in the first place as the only viable channel to engage with you.

I am always delighted when I telephone to find that I am answered straight away by a person and not a machine giving me multiple choices. The young lady answering my call is always polite, cheerful and helpful.

The service was prompt. The emails were courteous and explained what was needed and what was going on.

Initially I had to phone Guernsey TWICE to get application forms sent to me.2
