From past experience I find there policy of rolling over a deposit at the end of the prescribed term without out contacting the investor by email, prior to the term end inconvenient.

I had not made contact with Skipton in several years (am living in Thailand) and, on reviewing old letters, decided it was way past time to get organised with online banking. Due to living in Thailand and/or the Covid situation, I'd had no recent letter ref online banking. Shirley ran me through the online system, updated me as to interest-bearing accounts and that I'd get an email ref setting up the online banking. I received the email and set it up with ease. However, it was rather daunting to find I'd missed recent letters, but I doubt that's Skipton's fault.

I'm talking about a very old 'Intnl Inv account' that has generated little to no interest in recent years. I don't believe I'd been updated as to recent new accounts.

Pro-active and helpful. Trying to open an international account from our home country is painful. Getting the necessary "verification of person and address" is mostly impossible or difficult and expensive. Skipton International were able to VERIFY us both using Zoom! Brilliant. Innovative. Practical. Straightforward. Sue Sheppard, the member of staff dealing with us was very proactive. Thank you, Sue.
Then, once opened, the online facility is intuitive, user friendly and secure. A big plus again!
