Thank you for your feedback, which I have had investigated. The overall time from application to offer being made was indeed much longer than we would have liked. Skipton instructed a valuation the day following receipt of final information for your application and issued an offer letter the day the valuation was received. Unfortunately, despite Skipton chasing the third party surveyor it took 4 weeks to receive the valuation. We escalated the matter with Connells accordingly. In terms of Skipton's turnaround times I hope you agree these were good. How would you rate the service provided by Skipton itself? Kind regards Jim Coupe Managing Director

Generally good. Perhaps the process could have been a bit faster. Also, we were unaware that we could not use our solicitor who is on Skipton's UK panel. This may delay the transaction which is more of an issue for the seller than ourselves.

Every time I deposit money or extend a deposit I stress it must be on "Notice" and not a rolling account. I always stress this a number of times but often it is ignored. Once again this time after stressing this at least three times to each of the 2 people who I dealt with I was ignored and I had to return to the office to sort this out. I find this most annoying to me and very unprofessional on their part.

Good service, good website and security. Could do with the limit for compensation being raised tova more reasonable level. 50k protection under the financial compensation scheme is nothing these days.
