Customer Service Review:
Skipton International have been one of our main bankers, long before the company became Skipton. We have always had wonderful service from our Account Manager, and have after so many years together, become almost friends. Now with the extra benefit of Internet Banking, the Bank has become even more important to us, and our family.

Skipton are excellent. They answer all questions clearly, and act on instructions in a very timely and efficient fashion. More than this all the staff are friendly, helpful, patient and well informed.

You are very fair to your customers, offering clear and decent (in the current climate) interest rates. It is good to deal with a financial institution that treats us with respect, at all levels.

I was not told there was a higher interest rate available for my instant access account and only found out via a chance conversation with a staff member. I asked to be moved to the higher rate but had no confirmation that it had been done.
Also, arranging on- line banking is FAR TOO Complicated - so I gave up in the end. I have such a facility with Barclays and it was comparatively easy. I hear nothing from Skipton except for my annual statement so I don't think they care about me.

I was put out by the fact that you offered me internet banking but, after some while trying to install it, I found that it was impossible to do so without a smart phone. I do not think that you should assume everyone has a smart phone or, at least, don't aggravate customers and tell them they would need to possess one before wasting their time.
