Being a hard-working saver for many years, I would like to see banks offer better rates desoite the surpressed rates by BOE.
The LIBOR rates have increased exponentially based on fear/risk within the banking industry yet little is know by the public so banks continue to pay little to so many depositors who make the bank feasible.

Interest rate is rather high. The perceived risk to Skipton because we are expatriates in the Euro zone etc does not justify this rate.

It is not easy as an expatriate to secure mortgages on buy to let properties and Skipton International were able to provide a product that met my needs. The application process was very straight forward with a comprehensive application package and I was impressed with the speed of the review and the decision. The communications I had with the Skipton team was always effective and professional and I can recommend the excellent service they provided.

The product met my requirements in terms of duration and interest rates and provided the initial period of stability with a fixed interest period for piece of mind, particularly with the uncertainly of the short term impact of Brexit looming.
