Request for KYC / source of funds seemed a bit never ending, then when it was confirmed that all was in order and account could be opened I was told the next day that the product applied for was no longer available. Also switched between email addresses used so some messages came to me, others to my wife.
Product Review:
Vanilla offering with a fairly average market rate paid. Original product applied for would have been better.

All banks have a duty to meet regulatory requirements, which we make as simple as possible for our customers. I have had your feedback investigated and note that we always replied to the person who emailed us. Also, please note that the new product offered is market leading and has a higher rate of interest for a shorter period of notice than the one originally applied for, i.e. the new product was to your advantage. Should you still require the original product please call us and we will arrange a transfer.

I suggest that Skipton reduces the paperwork it sends to clients,so long as my interest goes direct to another bank. Also recently I received a completely wrong statement.
The interest rates could be improved, but do not leave IOM as too many offshore banks are closing down

Thank you for your feedback and your suggestion with regards to the level of documentation. We have been reviewing our documentation recently and will take your suggestion on board, although some customers do prefer to have every transaction confirmed regardless of type.
I am sorry that you received an incorrect statement. We have recently implemented a new system to enable in a few months online access for our customers. The system generally worked well, but there were teething issues with statement production which we have been resolving. This was the cause of the error with your statement and it should not be repeated.

got my initials wrong! Took ages to deal with new application - apparently been having problems with new system. Still awaiting investment certificate!

We have indeed implemented a new system to enable us to offer a future online system and a few teething issues were initially encountered with the printing of documents. I like Skipton international but when it comes to postal communication and there understanding that they are communicating world wide they are far too slow.
