I asked a question slightly out of the usual, about probate and the cost, and it was answered immediately answered to my satisfaction. In contrast I had great difficulty getting the answer from a similar building society and we had to wait two weeks for a written reply

Buy a calculator, so that they can keep an accurate balance of my account. It took me weeks and repeated phone calls to establish that £1,500 was missing, and this was resolved only because I refused to accept that I was in the wrong. Another customer may have not even noticed this error for some time.

Thank you for your feedback.
I have had your issue investigated and I apologise for the error. This followed the account being credited with a payment on the day it was closed. The 9 days to correct this was too long and was extended due to the implementation of our new banking system. We have had the matter investigated by our software supplier to prevent a reoccurrence.
