Being able to pop into Skipton without an appointment or telephone & speak with a knowledgeable adviser, there & then, whether it be mortgage or savings, is a breathe of fresh air!

Enquiring what I would need to open a savings account by telephone and arriving with all the documentation, I was so impressed to be able to just pop in & see an adviser when I was in St Peter Port without any fuss or having to wait to make an appointment. Everyone was very cheerful & efficient.

Very helpful in all aspects of setting up a new savings account with them. All questions regarding providing certain paperwork was dealt with quickly & efficiently. Cannot fault the service at all!!

Unfortunately the passport copy that was taken in by my husband was not
married up to our file. This caused the account not to be opened for 6 weeks. After I realised and contacted Skipton, he then had to take the passport in again.
We then had a contract note delivered but stated the incorrect amount. (We had
made our investment using two cheques, which must of caused the confusion.)
At all times, the staff were very polite and easy to talk to.

Unfortunately, our process not efficient in this instance and I apologise for the inconvenience this caused. We will of course take learning's on board to prevent a reoccurrence.

Customer Service Review:
Staff were rude and condescending in relation to how much they would lend and dismissive even though the documentation was in place to prove the ability to meet the loan conditions as well as contractual work and a substantial deposited amount in savings worth 20% of the total loan amount. We were also existing customers who had never missed a repayment.
Needless to say the loan was given when they realised their mistake.
