Overall a good professional and friendly service. However, what I absolutely object to, as happened to me, is the allowance of an on-line application for an account that is then removed/deleted after the application, caused by/dependent on the physical transit time of the necessary supporting documentation (ID, proof of address) in the post.
It is my strong opinion that if it is possible to register an application for an account in good faith, then that application should be honoured, in good faith, provided that physical supporting documentation duly arrives within a sensible time frame.
Product Review:
I have already explained; a good service, excepting the denial of the account I applied for, by merit of postal transit/delay time for the application.

Thank you for your feedback.
Even with an online application unfortunately we cannot accept applications dated after the withdrawal of a particular product.
We do allow a grace period to receive applications in the post once a product has been withdrawn and this period is extended for applications being received from locations in the world that take longer for post to be received.

Phone calls answered quickly, no "press x for..." menus, and the person who responded always had the answer to my questions. A marked contrast to the bank that I was moving from.
When some additional work was required I was told it would be a "couple of days", but in fact was done in one day.

The personnel were friendly, but Skipton is outdated as it is impossible to see accounts on-line.

I was frustrated to find that the bank accounts available changed during the time I was applying to be a member and I was therefore unable to complete my intended savings plan

I am pleased to confirm that Skipton International is currently replacing its banking platform with a new system that will facilitate online access to accounts. We are hoping to roll this out towards the end of the year and will write to customers with details nearer the time.
We do change our product offerings from time to time and unfortunately we cannot guarantee how long any particular account will be available.
