Of the few times I have called the team at Skipton I have always received prompt and efficient service. They deal with the matter speedily and with courtesy.

I was happy with the savings account I had with Skipton but was, obviously, unhappy with the constant decrease in rate.

We liked being able to make an appointment, go through all the details and paperwork in one meeting and having our mortgage offer approved soon thereafter. There were however several mistakes in the offer letter that had to be corrected twice, as well as careless mistakes in email correspondence.

Very helpful on phone and they did exactly as discussed, speedily and I received written confirmation within a few days

Despite being low this is a better interest rate that mainland UK accounts. It would be better if I could manage the account on line.

easy to open this account as already a customer...could have got a better interest rate elsewhere but couldn't be bothered with the hassle.would like to think a loyalty account for longstanding customers could be created as we have had an account since the portman building society offshore days.

I am disappointed you consider Skipton's rates limited, given we have been consistently in the Moneyfacts Offshore Savings Best Buy table for some time. Also, Skipton has twice written to customers offering loyalty bonds with market leading interest rates, these products were solely available to existing customers.

Phone answered within a few rings, by a real person! What a joy! No horrible automated messages as so often encountered.
My enquiries have been dealt with efficiently, politely and in a friendly manner. AND by people who speak properly and clearly...no mumbling.
Dealings by email have been excellent too.
The website is great. Really easy to read and understand exactly what is being offered.
Keep it up Skipton!

Best rates available that we could find on the market from a well known company. Both the bond and easy access were good. Only shame is that the Easy Access rate drops from .75percent to .10 percent if it goes below 10k. Otherwise it would be perfect!

Good response from team and follow-up, albeit disappointing that in these days all cannot be done and reviewed via the Internet as with all my other international accounts - I am often in time-zones where calling during "office hours" of the UK is not convenient..

At Skipton we share your disappointment in that we cannot currently offer online access. That is why we are currently about half way through a project to replace our banking system with an alternative that will support secure online access. We hope to roll this out from the end of the year.

The staff have been excellent in dealing with my queries.
However, the systems which they have do not allow on-line monitoring of the account. I understand the security issues which are most likely behind this, but it still a customer inconvenience
