There was very little choice and options for us which means we ended up with a very expensive product compared to our last one. I think it was partly the circumstances (COVID impact and oversees borrower) and not Skipton.

This review is related to your on-line system only. Telephone contact with your staff is usually fine.
You sent an email advising me that there is a document waiting for me so I logged on and hit the download button which seemed to work. However, where the heck is the document downloaded to? I have spent an hour searching Desktop, Downloads and Documents on my laptop to no avail.
There is nothing on the website to say where the documents are downloaded.

There was a lot of documentation and evidences required which was time consuming. When living in a pandemic it would have been useful to have greater use of electronic signatures than wet, with physical hard copies having to be posted. However mortgage decision was swift thereafter. During conveyancing portal useful doc sharing tool and tracking progress.

Skipton has now allowed easy renewal of deposits , which are usually peoples savings probably only to be needed in emergency, without the need to visit the office or complete yet more forms with the same information and provide yet more copies of the same CDD. Many Banks still insist on this nonsense. So well done Skipton.

Rates are still low but improving. Skipton's rates are however better than most Bank's rates.
